When is the best time to get a maternity session done?

The session should be planned between end of 7th till the mid of 8th month. i.e between anytime between 28th -32nd week. After 8th month, body enters the preparation phase of baby delivery, hence you might be low on energy, with other health issues such as acid reflexes, water retention etc. Its important for you to enjoy the maternity photosession, hence plan your session while you have all the energy to pose and have fun.

When do I book my session?

Book as soon as you are sure that you’d like us to capture your beautiful journey towards motherhood. The sooner you book the better, as you can pick the slot best suited to you. We do have last minute bookings and sessions too, but it gets rushed for both, us and you and leaves very less time for planning and discussion. Also, you’d need to pick from the available slots (if at all available) that might be 1 or 2 in number. Contact: +91-9999874050

How do I book my session?

Connect on +91-9999874050 via Whatsapp for booking process and details. No session is planned or prepped without the confirmed booking received in the form of non-refundable booking amount towards your maternity session.

Can I have both indoor (studio) and outdoor session?

Yes, you definitely can. We have packages that are designed exclusively for indoor / outdoor sessions along with packages that have both. Please refer to our packages for session details.

Is my husband and 1st child included?

Yes, for sure. There is no session complete without them. Please bring them along as we will make it a beautiful experience for you all.

What should I wear for my maternity session?

There will be detailed pre-shoot consultation on call to answer all your queries regarding dresses, setups, etc. We are a full service studio with a huge range of dresses. Based on your chosen package, you are very welcome to bring your own dress or choose from our collection. Please note that the total number of outfits in a session is counted.

Do I need you bring any dresses?

We are a full service studio with a huge range of dresses. Based on your chosen package, you are very welcome to bring your own dress or choose from our collection.

What should my husband and 1st born baby wear for the session?

We will do a detailed pre-shoot consultation on call to answer all your queries regarding dresses, setups, etc. Styling of husband and children will be based on the style and look of the outfits you pick for your session.

How many dresses/ looks are included in maternity shoot package?

Different packages have different number of dresses/ looks included. Our basic package starts with one dress, starter package has 2 dresses and so on. You can get a 1 look added to existing package at additional cost. No additional edits are included in add-ons. Please refer to the add-ons for costs.

Is hair and makeup included in my package?

Hair and makeup are not included in any of our packages due to varied makeup and product preferences of expecting moms. We are happy to share references of makeup and hair stylists if needed by you. We will provide you with detailed guidelines on what kind of makeup/hair to get done. It’s recommended that you come ready with hair and makeup for your session.

Who all can accompany us for the shoot?

Only expecting parents and the first born baby (if you have one) are allowed during your maternity session. No extra people such as makeup and hair artists, in-laws and other relatives are allowed at either of our 2 studios.

How long does the session last?

The session duration depends on the chosen package. Each look takes around 45 minutes with additional 15/20 minutes to change and relax.

If you are delayed?

Session time is decided based on mutual discussion and slot availability. It’s crucial you pre-plan, prepare and arrive at given time slot as we might have more than 1 session planned for the day and in different studios. 30 minutes leeway is allowed, however, if later than that 20% of your package cost is charged additionally as late fee.

Will my images be shared on social media/ your website or any other platform?

We take lots of pain and put in exceeding amount of efforts in the creation of each frame, that makes for the most beautiful memories for you. Hence we showcase it on all our and other relevant, online and offline platforms that help us with branding and future business.

By default, all the copyrights of the images created by us, are with us. However, you can buy the copyrights to your images at an additional charge of Rs. 10,000/-. On purchasing the copyrights, we don’t hold any rights to your images, transfer your entire data from your session, in its original format via online transfer. and remove it from our systems all together after 1 month of online data transfer.

Digital image quality, delivery time, watermarks and logo?

Unedited images are shared within a week of the session in medium resolution. All shared unedited images (1500 px on the longer side) serve the sole purpose of selection of your favorite shots from the comfort of your home and hence are watermarked “rakshita kapoor photography – images for selection only” .

The final edited images are shared in 3-4 weeks of selection in form of maximum resolution jpegs. Each selected image is edited with extreme care and precision to avoid pixel loss while increasing the overall feel of the image. Each edit is signed with Rakshita Kapoor Photography logo.

Please note that any printed products such as photo albums, poster frames and prints will not have any logo or watermark.
